PRATT ART AND MUSIC WALK

THURSDAY, JUNE 20, 2019 AT 6 PM – 8 PM
Pratt, KS

Please join us for our next Art and Music Walk! We will be grouping 3-5 artists into 3 locations in downtown - the Parish Lofts, the Pratt Public Library and the Vernon Filley Art Museum. These hosts are within a block of each other. For planning purposes, each artist will have enough space to set up their display - roughly an 8x8-foot space (note: these are not formal booth spaces!). We have room for 12-16 artists maximum so please commit early! Artists are responsible for their own set-up - tables, easels, chairs - whatever it is you need to set up. There is no charge to display and art sales are encouraged! We'll be sure to let you know where you'll be in advance so you can work out logistics for June 20.
Thank you and we look forward to having you be a part of this cool event!

THURSDAY, APRIL 12, 2018 AT 7 PM – 9 PM
Vernon Filley Art Museum

Artists, just like traditional small business owners, have to wear many hats—creator, fabricator, accountant, marketer, technologist, and more. And, just like traditional small business owners, artists can find this to be a daunting task. How do some artists make the leap to sustainable and profitable artistic practices? Through their work with over 1,000 artists (from musicians, to writers, to painters, to filmmakers), the Artist INC team has identified the common behaviors of successful artist entrepreneurs.

In their What Works Workshop they’ll share those behaviors and leave you ready to apply them to your own art practice. The workshop includes discussion of:
• Goal setting and planning
• Portfolio careers and multiple income streams
• Communications strategy
• Strategic networking
• Financial planning

Please share this with fellow artists, musicians, writers, dancers - any and all of the creative and performing arts - and we hope to see you at the workshop!

This a collaborative effort of Mid-America Arts Alliance, Artist INC, Cultivator Arts and The Vernon Filley Art Museum. A big thank you to N'Cahoots for sponsoring and providing refreshments for the workshop!
